A GRC machine combines mortar delivery with glass-fibre chopping and spraying for glass fibre reinforced concrete, also called GFRC. The pump conveys the cement-based matrix while the cutter feeds short fibres into the spray stream at the gun. The operator builds the material onto a mould to form panels, facade details, columns, cornices or shaped landscape components. Pumping mortar alone is not the same process: the reinforcement feed and its distribution are part of the equipment selection.

Delivery capacity is a material mass per hour; sprayed area also depends on thickness and the deposition process. The published 200–400 m²/h entry is a nominal production figure, not a guaranteed finished-panel rate. It cannot be applied independently of the material, coating build-up, mould complexity and time spent consolidating and handling components.
These dimensions and ratings describe the configuration in this table. Other pump-and-mixer packages may have different motors, hopper sizes and output descriptions. Keep each package together when comparing quotations instead of combining the largest values from several versions.

Main Components and Working Principle
Every efficient GFRC spray machine relies on four key parts that work together smoothly.
Core Components
- Mixer: prepares a homogeneous cement-based matrix using the specified sand, water and admixtures. Mixing consistency matters because changes in the matrix affect pumping and spraying.
- Screw pump: moves the compatible matrix through the delivery hose. Material grading, workability and cleaning affect delivery; no pump should be treated as immune to blockage.
- Spray gun and fibre cutter: bring the matrix stream and chopped fibre together during application. The cutter and feed arrangement must match the specified roving and reinforcement process.
- Controls and air supply: allow the delivery and spraying operation to be set for the equipment package. Confirm which air equipment and accessories are included rather than assuming the spray unit contains a compressor.
How It Works
The mixer prepares the matrix and the pump transfers it to the gun. The cutter chops the roving as the operator sprays successive passes onto the mould. These are coordinated flows, not a guarantee that every part of the mould receives identical material. Feed settings, the operator’s movement and the sequence around corners all affect deposition.
Thickness checking, consolidation and the specified curing process remain separate production responsibilities. A deep return on a facade mould can need a different approach from a broad, flat panel face. Complete the face and edge build-up in a sequence that avoids obscuring unfilled areas; the mould detail and panel specification, not the pump’s maximum setting, determine the work.
For mortar-only wall work, compare the mortar sprayer machine; matrix delivery without the fibre-cutting arrangement is a different equipment task.

GRC Machine Output for Flat Panels and Detailed Moulds
The value of a continuous spray arrangement is the coordinated delivery of matrix and reinforcement. Whether that improves finished output depends on what happens at the mould and in the following consolidation, curing and demoulding stages.
- Broad panel faces: long accessible passes can use material delivery differently from small decorative pieces. Finishing one large face does not predict the time needed for numerous separate moulds.
- Corners and returns: recesses interrupt the spray path and can make direct access difficult. Fibre placement and thickness need checking rather than assuming the gun removes all hand work.
- Reinforcement distribution: matrix and fibre settings must be checked as a combination. Increasing pump delivery without a corresponding process check can change the deposited mix.
- Material use: overspray depends on the target shape, gun handling and layout. No fixed waste percentage or saving against manual work applies to every production line.
- Crew and handling: spraying is only one operation. Mould preparation, consolidation, curing and lifting still require an appropriate work arrangement; a universal staffing reduction cannot be inferred from the machine.
- Finished output: compare accepted, demoulded components over the intended production schedule. A nominal sprayed-area figure does not establish panel strength or daily saleable output.
Identify whether the job is broad flat panels or detailed facade pieces before estimating finished output.

A spray-up GRC arrangement combines matrix delivery with a fibre cutter and reinforcement feed at the gun. A mortar-only sprayer does not by itself establish that capability.
It is a nominal production figure, not a finished-panel guarantee. Thickness, material, mould access, consolidation and handling affect the actual accepted output.
Do not assume so. Corners, returns and recesses affect access and deposition. Check the specified thickness, reinforcement distribution and consolidation across the complete mould.
Agree on a representative mould, the specified material and the supplied equipment configuration. Review the spray result together with thickness, consolidation and curing requirements rather than judging the pump in isolation.
